About Us

At HORIZON CHILD DEVELOPMENT, School for Early Learning we envision a world where every child receives the child care

and support they need to thrive.  We are committed to providing high-quality childcare services 

that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of each child in our care.

Horizon Child Development has been providing quality day care to families in Fairfax County for the over 25 years. Our first school opened in Reston, VA in 1999 and proudly continues to serve this community today.  Seeing the need for child care in the 

Fairfax area, we designed, built and opened our second school at 4600 Holly Avenue in 2004.   And in January 2024, 

we opened our third and newest location at 14001 Braddock Road in Centreville, VA. 

Horizon Child Development understands how important it is for every family to feel confident and secure in knowing their child

 is loved and cared for while attending one of our schools. Many of our children begin attending Horizon Child Development 

at six weeks of age and graduate five years later, happy, prepared and excited to start kindergarten.  Our experienced teachers are trained in early childhood development with teaching skills that are age-appropriate and respectful 

of children’s cultural and ethnic heritage. Our schools provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes

 each child’s achievements by providing the best opportunities for successful development. 

Our team is made up of highly trained and experienced professionals who are passionate about working with children.  Children are challenged and inspired with 

creative curriculums and stimulating activities 

encouraging them to reach their greatest potential.  

Your child will learn to care for others, share and work with others, make choices, accept responsibility, respect themselves and the world around them. 

They will learn to persevere, as it takes time and 

endurance to achieve worthy goals.

We offer a variety of programs at Horizon Child Development to meet the individual needs 

and interests of each child.  Our child care developmental programs are for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.
